Or more like Westbound 79 :)
Trey and I headed out a few weekends ago to visit with one of my best friends, Bonnie, and her family. The journey landed us in Granger, TX, home to...well, lots of farmland. Needless to say, we enjoyed the quick and scenic drive and enjoyed the company even more!
Bonnie and I have been best friends since before Kindergarten. Even though time has split us in location, we are never far from each other's hearts. She is such a loyal and dear friend and the Taylors were very excited for a weekend away to hang out with the Arces!
We were entertained by their kiddos, Jolee and Jayton, who I must say are extremely well behaved and are both so creative in entertaining themselves! Jayton is all boy...one of those kids that can do something they're not supposed to do and you get so tickled it's hard to even correct them. He's a hoot. And miss Jolee is a little sweetheart. She's kind of quiet like her momma and loves to do whatever "the big girls" are doing. She also let me braid her hair, which I'm pretty sure I haven't done since circa late 90's at a high school track meet or on the cheerleading bus. It was kind of nice... :)
Bonnie and I had a fabulous time shopping and catching up while the boys played golf all day. If I remember correctly, at one point they called to check in just to let us know, "You guys do whatever you need to do and keep shopping...just take your time! And I think we'll play another 9..." :) We also enjoyed playing cards and dominoes and getting to visit with Joe's family. Thanks to the Arces for being such great hosts! We loved visiting with you guys!
As an added bonus to the trip ~The Expecting Assuntos were conveniently located about 25 minutes from Granger and we got to dine with them on Sunday! I was so excited to see Lynch's "little" belly. Miss Blythe will be coming soon and we were pumped to visit with them before the arrival...always good times when Ryan and Lynch are around!Overall, we had a great trip to the ATX.We even had time to swing the sticks when we got back home. Heres to you, weekend!
